This set of scans was looking at the idea of color. I was really interested in how you could move things across the scanner and they would leave a trace. I used four different colored pens and moved them in different directions to create a variety of effects with the colors. I thought it was really interesting some of the ways in which the trail of color came through. In some of the images, you can see my hand more than others. This was interesting because in some it looks like something guiding the pens along, but in others it plays a more active role in the final image, it is unclear what is my hand and what is the pens as it all blurs together. This assignment was really fun and a great way to experiment with scanography.
